Introducing our Trichologist Rossanna Fernando, who loves to help people with hair and scalp problems to make them feel great again with a head full of hair. With over 11 years of experience, she has seen hundreds of clients with mild to severe scalp problems resulting in hair loss.
Rossanna believes that our hair is our crowning glory, for when we meet someone, the first thing someone sees would be our face and hair. The two irreplaceable things for humans would be our hair and teeth. Just as how a teeth couldn’t grow back after being pulled out, once hair follicles have collapsed and closed up, there will be no growing back of new hair. Rossanna often instils in her clients that a clean healthy scalp equals to healthy beautiful tresses. One’s hair is his or her body’s barometer; what one does to his or her body affects their hair directly.
"My turning point came when I met my first Alopecia Areata client, Joey, who was only 11 years old. She was brought in with six bald spots by her parents. After 8 months of seeing a dermatologist who had injected steroids into the bald spots and receiving no positive results, they finally brought her to see me. Many don’t understand how Alopecia Areata works – it is an auto immune condition where a group of white blood cells attack some other cells in the hair, causing the baldness at certain spots. This can be triggered by trauma or viral infection, but mostly by stress. After speaking to Joey and discovering what her problem was, which turned out to be her school teachers picking on her and her nightmarish school experience, we were able to resolve her hair woes. After evaluating and recommending treatments to treat her scalp, we were able to treat Joey and help her regain her hair after 1 year of Svenson’s hair Treatments", says Rossanna.
Rossanna follows one strong principle in her job. She believes the job is all about building continuing relationships and gaining her clients’ trust. People are surrendering their heads in her hands, so it will never been a touch-and-go affair.

Acting as Svenson’s Group Chief Trichologist at Svenson, Kim oversees Svenson’s team of trichologists on a group level covering multiple Asian markets such as Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. With a tenure exceeding 20 years, Kim has held her office longer than any trichologist within the Svenson group and has been with clients every step of the way on their hair and scalp health journey.
Using Svenson’s systematic and scientific approach to diagnosis and treatment of a multitude of hair and scalp conditions, coupled with her wealth of experience in ensuring best practices she has garnered herself a loyal following of clients.
Kim is a strong believer in ensuring best practices, quality formulations and impeccable service and ensures that this is delivered by her team. Never one to rest on her laurels, she is constantly upgrading herself and her team by partaking in international conferences such as the World Congress Hair Research 2019 to keep ahead of the latest trichological developments. Stemming from her strong belief and ethics, she sets high standards in Svenson’s service delivery to ensure that clients’ satisfaction are optimised and assured.
